Highlights from Graph Expo 2011 in Chicago
4 days of busy exhibiting, demos, meeting clients, and deal making with prospects.  An AMP user group workshop that included 26 people.  A 200 person knock-out party on the Roof at the Wit Hotel, along with co-sponsors MCS and Think Ink.  And to top it all off -we won 2 must-see-em awards for our Midnight software.  The show was a huge success!  A big cheers to the VS team who worked so well together and ran an amazing program.

 

 

 

 

New NAPL Chairman

Highlights from the VS User Group meeting in Colorado Springs, June 2011

Held in conjunction with the MFSA annual conference, Virtual Systems held a user group meeting along with our co-sponsors MCS.  Wow – what a turn-out – 62 customers and prospects attended the event.  Virtual Systems President Chris Huber and Product Manager Spencer Gage revealed the new generation features in Mail-Shop, Digi-Shop and Midnight.

These highlights included version 8.4 features, Midnight Fulfillment, Midnight Mail, iPhone apps, Canadian mail processing services, Offset and Digital print estimating, and a preview of the migration plan to cloud based services.  Customer specialist Linda Pollard was also on hand to demonstrate the new mobile applications.

A few folks even left with the application on their phones!  Thanks to all who came out for the meeting and we look forward to seeing you in Chicago at Graph Expo!

 

Customer wins at AMP workshop in Washington, DC

Russ Ward from Pilot Direct was one of our winners for the apple TV.  He attended the On demand show and also our AMP meeting in Washington, DC Russ had a great experience as he stated:

“It was great to attend and participate in the AMP presentation and discussion last month in Washington DC.  I was able to learn more about Midnight as well as upcoming enhancements to Mail-Shop.  As a user of the Print Module I was able to share and learn more about this powerful tool with others in the industry.  I was also happy to be the winner of the Apple TV giveaway, an afternoon well spent!”

When the clock strikes Midnight the Printing World will be Changed – Wednesday, September 22, 2010
There’s always been something mysterious and ominous about midnight, and October 3-6 at the Graph Expo conference in Chicago, midnight will once again captivate its audience. Instead, however, of making people shudder in fear, the only screams and howls will be those of thrilled print shop owners when they learn of Virtual Systems’ new software system, Midnight. Ironically named because of it’s intent to remove the mystery and ominous tones from the imminent digital printing era, it was announced today by company President Chris Huber that Virtual Systems will officially unleash its new product at booth #459 when the show opens on Sunday, October 3, at 10:00 AM.

President of Virtual Systems honored for dedication to Mailing & Fulfillment Services Association
Chris Huber, president of Virtual Systems, received the Robert M. Huse Award for his contributions to the Northwest Chapter of MFSA. The Robert M. Huse Award, which was created in 1995, recognizes contributions by an MFSA member in support of a chapter of the association.
Huber said in receiving the award, “I consider my involvement on the MFSA Northwest Chapter board to be a strong investment in both my customers and my industry. I’ve been doing it for years and plan to continue. I think chapter events are an effective way for members to network and learn; we have a group of great people in the Northwest.”

New Digi-Shop add-on module
The NEW Digi-Shop add-on module allows Mail-Shop SQL users to add digital print capabilities to their system.
This module includes Print Estimating (digital and offset), a Web-to-Print interface, and New Pricing Wizards for campaign services such as Email blasts, Purls, and Internet Response Marketing.Print Estimating: The print estimating module comes standard with digital print estimating. It includes a single user license, and initial plant setup assistance via the web as well as the interface to Mail-Shop software. Other formats/items that are available include sheet-fed, web, onsite training, and additional user licenses that may be added for an additional fee.
Web-To-Print: The Digi-Shop module contains the code elements for interfacing with web-to-print applications, thereby allowing web-to-print storefront-users the ability to submit orders directly into the Mail-Shop system. The module allows a Mail-Shop order template to be created and automatically applied to incoming web-to-print orders – complete with pricing and inventory. When the Mail-Shop order is completed, it automatically sends a ‘job completed’ notification to the web-to-print system so that the storefront user can be aware of the job status. This component may be customized to interface with any 3rd party web-to-print vendor.
New Pricing Wizards: The Digi-Shop module also features new pricing items and wizards designed specifically for estimating and managing campaign services such as Email blasts, Purls, and Internet Response Tracking. While there are many tools used to perform these functions, the Digi-Shop module brings them all together for estimating and tracking in your Mail-Shop system.

The postage rate update that will add the new postage estimate rates for the May 11, 2009 postal rate change is available for download now!

Just click on Support, login, and grab the update in order to load the new rates into your Mail-Shop or Digi-Shop system. Call support if you have any questions, or for help in running the update.
